USA Hockey provides award patches for players participating in games during the fall hockey season. Patches are limited to one of each patch per player per season. If a player is rostered on more than one team, they will not be able to earn the same patch on both teams. The award will be issued to the organization that is first to order the patch.
There are three different patches that can be earned. They are:
- Hat Trick– 3 goals in one game
- Playmaker – 3 assists in one game
- Zero Club – No goals allowed by a goalie playing in one complete game
