Two Illinois Skaters Commit to USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program

NTDP Announces 11 Commits for 2014-15 Season – 2 Illinois Skaters will join USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program for the 2014-15 season. The players, all from the 1998 birth year, will compete as members of the U.S. National Under-17 Team. Clayton Keller, a forward from Swansea, notched 31 goals and assisted on 36 others in 45 games with Shattuck-St. Mary’s (Minn.), helping his team capture the Toyota-USA Hockey National Championship. Keller has given a verbal commitment to play at Boston University. James Sanchez, a forward from Northbrook, played in 27 games for the Chicago Young Americans midget minor program of the High Performance Hockey League. The future Michigan Wolverine lit the lamp seven times and added 13 helpers, good for 20 points on the season.
