In our continuing effort of assisting and developing amateur hockey in Illinois, the Amateur Hockey Association of Illinois, in conjunction with the Chicago Blackhawks, will host the 15th Annual Chicago Blackhawks/AHAI Coaching Clinic on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the United Center.
Blackhawks Head Coach Joel Quenneville along with Assistant Coaches Mike Kitchen and Kevin Deneen, Goaltending Coach Jimmy Waite and Strength and Conditioning Coach Paul Goodman will be on hand to discuss different techniques in coaching, as well as field questions from the AHAI Coaches in attendance.
Topics of discussion will include best use of ice time, running a practice, proper conditioning and nutrition, good sportsmanship, proper equipment and having fun within the game of hockey.
ALL Coaches must register individually and RSVP in advance no later than February 8, 2015 by sending an e-mail to Paul Jakubowksi at firstname.lastname@example.org. When registering, please indicate your name, association, level at which you are coaching and your phone number. Once your registration email has been received, you will receive an email with instructions on arrival time, where to park, what to bring to the clinic, etc.
There is no charge for this clinic and is for USA Hockey registered adult coaches only (over the age of 18). No children under the age of 18 will be allowed into this clinic.
