The Christmas season is about giving, not only presents but your time. Be the reason that someone smiles. That’s exactly what the Plainfield High School Hockey Association did. On the morning of Sunday, December 20th PHSHA skaters and parents volunteered their time at the MorningStar Mission of Joliet. MorningStar Mission’s Stars of Hope program provides Christmas presents to needy families in the area.
The volunteers from PHSHA helped the Stars of Hope by loading over 1500 bags of presents into 2 semi trailers that will be distributed and bring the joy of Christmas to over 365 families this year. Everyone worked hard and they all had a sense of accomplishment for a job well done. They quickly realized that because of their selfless efforts Christmas morning will be a joyous one and it will mean just a little bit more.
