On Sunday, December 27, 2015, alumni from Plainfield High School Hockey Association (PHSHA) skated in the Jeremy Bosi Memorial Alumni Game. Among the alumni skating on Sunday was Lisa Chesson, 2010 U.S. Women’s Olympic Silver Medalist. All proceeds from Sunday’s hockey game will go directly into the Jeremy Bosi Memorial Fund, which was established in his memory to help those families who otherwise would not be able to participate in the game we all love.
Jeremy Bosi #32 played hockey for PHSHA all 4 years and always gave 110% and had great enthusiasm. He was a hockey coach’s dream. It has been said that if you ever watched him play in a game, you would remember it. Tragically at the age of 20, on July 14, 2002, Jeremy was killed in a car accident. We honor his memory every time we step on the ice.
Jeremy’s parents, Carl and Carol Bosi, his sister Kristie, and many other members of his family were in attendance on Sunday. Besides the Bosi family, the stands were filled with friends and family of the alumni, as well as, current PHSHA skaters and their families. It was a great day of hockey that was enjoyed by all. For those alumni that could not attend today, mark your calendars for next year’s game and spread the word!
Thank you to the Bosi Family who continue to support and be a part of Plainfield H.S. Hockey, to all the alumni who skated Sunday, the families and friends who filled the stands, and the current PHSHA skaters and families who came to cheer on the alumni. See everyone next year!
