Huskies Hockey Club Mourns the Loss of Jim Orlando

Jim OrlandoIt’s with much sadness that the Huskies Hockey Club shares the news that parent, coach and friend, Jim Orlando passed away suddenly last week. We are all in shock and disbelief.  Jim was larger than life with an incredible smile and always found a way to make you laugh.  Jim was a long time member of our hockey community as a coach with St Jude Knights and the Sabres. His son Dominick is currently a Pee Wee player for the Huskies.  Jim’s love for the game and teaching extended throughout the Southwest Suburbs. Our Hockey community is small and our sport is like no other. Please keep Jim’s family in your prayers. As you can imagine, this tragic situation creates financial uncertainty. A GoFundMe site has been set up to help ease the financial burden and help with Jim’s children’s future educational expenses and other extracurricular activities in order that they may enjoy their lives the way their father would have liked to have had for them.
