PLYMOUTH, Michigan – USA Hockey announced today the 22-player rosters and schedules for both its U.S. National Under-17 and Under-18 Teams, who are competing in respective Five Nations Tournaments this week.
The United States will serve as host for the 2016 Under-17 Five Nations Tournament to be held at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Michigan. The tournament will run from Feb. 9-13 and features two games each day of the event. Team USA will compete against teams from the Czech Republic, Finland, Russia and Sweden. A full schedule can be found below.
Single-day tickets are available for the event at USA Hockey Arena and include access to two games. Prices are $18 for center ice and $15 for executive reserved. Groups of 15 or more are priced at $15 (center ice) and $13 (executive reserved).
The Under-17 Team roster is composed of 20 members from the 2015-16 U.S. National Under-17 Team, part of USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program, based in Plymouth, Michigan. Defenseman Reilly Walsh (Andover, N.H./Proctor Academy) and forward Vanya Lodnia (Novi, Mich./Erie Otters) are additions to the lineup. A complete United States roster can be found here. The 2016 Under-18 Five Nations Tournament will take the U.S. National Under-18 Team to Rauma, Finland. The event runs from Feb. 11-14 and includes, in addition to the United States, squads from the Czech Republic, Finland, Russia and Sweden. Team USA will skate in a pre-tournament tilt on Monday, Feb. 8, versus Finland.
The roster is made up entirely of members of the 2015-16 U.S. National Under-18 Team, part of USA Hockey’s NTDP, and includes Illinois’ James Sanchez (Northbrook) and Clayton Keller (Swansea). A complete United States roster can be found here.
