Youth Olympic Games Start Today: AHAI Wishes Team USA & Woodridge’s Jacob Pivonka Good Luck

Boys_from_USA_Hockey_ready_to_hit_the_ice_for_practice_largeThe U.S. Youth Olympic Men’s Ice Hockey Team will begin competition at the 2016 Youth Olympic Games in Lillehammer, Norway, at 2 p.m. ET on Saturday, Feb. 13, when it takes on Finland. The U.S. will compete against Canada, Finland, Norway and Russia in the event, which runs from Feb. 12-21.

The 17-player U.S. roster, which includes the Chicago Mission’s Jacob Pivonka (Woodridge, IL), is made up of nine forwards, six defenseman and two goaltenders, all of whom were selected to participate in the USA Hockey Select 15 Player Development Camp from July 15-21 in Williamsville, New York.
