Try Hockey For Free Day will be Saturday, November 12th as part of Come Play Hockey Month. This program, designed to provide youth hockey associations a national platform to introduce new kids to the sport, is a joint effort between USA Hockey, the National Hockey League and NHL member clubs.
Over 500 locations will host a try hockey for free clinic for kids between the ages of 4 to 9. With youth sports wrapping up, this event provides local associations the perfect opportunity to introduce new families to youth hockey. Join the nine (9) other Illinois associations holding Try Hockey For Free events on Saturday, November 12th: Northbrook, Franklin Park, Sabre Girls Hockey, Leafs, Pekin, Evanston, Admirals, Decatur and Rolling Meadows! Deadline to register as a host site is Friday, October 7, 2016.
November is an ideal time to bring families into your rink that may not have previously considered youth hockey and are completing their fall sports.
