Chicago Jets 2003 Central States Team Serves the Homeless

By Kathy Murdock

Last week, the Chicago Jets 2003 Central States team gathered to serve the homeless and hungry.  On Wednesday, the team arrived early for practice to make 100 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, which they packed into a brown bag with a juice box, fruit and chips. On Friday, they volunteered at St. Teresa of Avila’s homeless dinner. They set the tables, served the dinner, cleaned up and distributed the sack lunches they had previously made.  The highlight of the evening was getting to sit down and visit with the guests who came for dinner.
