Admirals Girls Program Holds College Hockey Seminar

college-seminar-1The Admirals Girls Program held a College Hockey Seminar on Tuesday, November 29 at the Center Ice of DuPage for their players and parents. Grant Kimball, who will lead Aurora University’s Women’s NCAA Division III Hockey Program in their inaugural season in 2017, was the guest speaker.

Kimball comes to AU after spending the previous seven seasons as the Associate Head Women’s Ice Hockey Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at the University of Vermont, Division I.

Carla Pentimone, Admirals Girls Hockey Director, stated, “the Admirals were fortunate to have had Coach Grant at our Seminar, as he has a vast amount of experience coaching at the Division I and Division III level of women’s hockey, having been an assistant coach and associate head coach since 2001.”

“The College Seminar was a phenomenal experience,” said Karen Czerwiec, whose daughter plays on the Admirals 16U team. “It’s fantastic what opportunities are available to our girls.”

“The evening was a great success,” said Pentimone. “We look forward to making the College Hockey Seminar a permanent part of our girls program and plan to open up the event to all girls in Illinois.”
