Sisters Go Head to Head!
One of the most exciting games to wrap up the first half of season took place on December 20, with Latin facing off against Evanston at Johnny’s Ice House. The game was highly competitive and found Latin senior and team Captain, Emma Unterseher battling against her sister Kate, Evanston’s freshman goalie.

The game went back and forth with Evanston edging Latin out by one goal. It was great fun on and off the ice as the girls reunited after the game for a cute photo. These two teams – and these two sisters – will face each other twice in the second half of the seasons. So…the fun will continue!

The fun events and those designed to support the community continue!

Latin High School Toy Drive
The Latin girls’ team ran a toy drive prior to their game against Evanston on December 20. The entire team participated and a good number of toys were collected. The toys were donated to a local charity for distribution to needy kids in time for Christmas.

Fenwick’s Alumni Game and Christmas Party
Over the holidays the Fenwick Girls team held its annual alumni game and Christmas party, bringing back several years of former skaters and goaltenders that played both under the Fenwick banner and the Oak Park River Forest flag. The girls had a blast battling former team mates, and the newly minted alumni loved playing their former teammates. The alumni beat the current team in a tightly contested match, 4-3.

Happy New Year to all and good luck to all the teams in the second half of the season!
