Hinsdale Central Red Devils Raise over $10,000 for the Hornets Sled Hockey Program

By Nancy Laskowski

Hinsdale Central Hockey Club hosted a Hornet Sled Hockey Benefit Game on Wednesday, December 21st.  For the second year in a row the Hinsdale Central Red Devils have donated over $10,000 to the Hornet Sled Hockey program. Hinsdale Central offered FREE admission to the game to help create awareness of the Hornets Sled Hockey Program. Lance Cpl. and U.S. National Sled Hockey Gold Medalist, Josh Misiewicz performed the ceremonial puck drop. Misiewicz stayed on the ice and participated with the Hornet team in their 8-0 win against the Red Devils. Through the generous donations of local area business and organizations, Hinsdale Central raffled off over 75 prizes and had 6 silent auction items that helped raise $10,406.00 for the Hornets Sled Hockey program. It was a wonderful way to start the Holiday Season!
