With only a few games left in the regular season, all the girls teams are competing hard for a Metro League playoff spot. Loyola has jumped to the top of the leader board in the Scholastic Cup Division, as the only undefeated team. The Ramblers are currently 7-0-1. Glenbrook High School is in second, followed by New Trier Gold. In the Founders Cup Division, Lake Forest High School is on top. The Scouts of have won all seven of their first games. Barrington is in second place, followed by Warren.
Later this month, the Scholastic Cup will host semi-final games for the top four seeds with the winners competing in a championship. The six Founders Cup teams will be split into two groups: the top trio will compete for the Founders Cup Gold Championship, and the others will competing for the Founders Cup Silver Championship. The Metro League Playoffs and Championships games will be held February 25-28 – schedule to come!
Congratulations to the girls from across the league invited to participate in the 2017 Girls High School All-State game – what a wonderful honor! The game will be played on Monday, February 13, 2017 at the Edge Ice Arena in Bensenville at 6:30 p.m. The 2nd Annual Terry J. Stasica MVP Award will also be given to one player from the Girls’ game! Honoring our Seniors
The Lake Forest High School Scouts honored their seniors on February 2nd. Congratulations to Kyra Mangasarian, Hannah Nelson, Olivia Remissong, Corynn Salazar and Betsy Sensenbrenner! The Scouts faced off that evening against Warren, winning the game 3-2.
