Over 130 Illinois Players Rostered to Tier III Junior Teams

Recently AHAI highlighted the Illinois players that have gone on to play college hockey (NCAA Division I and Division III and ACHA) as well as those playing Tier I and Tier II Junior Hockey. The final place that our skaters can take advantage of after their youth or high school career is over is Tier III Junior Hockey.

Tier III hockey is pay-to-play junior hockey with teams spread across the country from coast-to-coast. The two largest leagues are the USPHL (which has many levels within it to include Premier, Elite and USP3HL) and the NA3HL (which is the Tier III arm of the NAHL). Our best estimate based on online rosters shows Illinois with 132 players currently in one of the 4 leagues (the other two are the EHL and RMJHL).

AHAI apologizes if we have missed a player. If you know of a player that was omitted, please send an email to gretchen@ahai2.org and we will add them to our list. We are very proud of all our Illinois players as they pursue their hockey dreams and wish them well! Click HERE to download/print file.
