Chicago Cougars Owner Craig Anderson Stanley Cup Semi-Finalist and Masterton Award Finalist!

Congratulations to Cougars owner Craig Anderson on a great NHL season in 2016-17 including Bill Masterton Award Finalist and Stanley Cup semi-finalist!

Anderson, a native of Chicago who played his youth hockey in town before embarking on a three year Junior career in the OHL and now 14 year NHL career, has been with the Cougars since day 1 and was an instrumental piece in the organization’s formative days as well as today.

This season turned out to be one of his best and most challenging in the NHL backstopping his Ottawa Senators to a 25-11-0-4 record including 5 Shutouts in his 40 Games started during the Regular Season amassing his 500th career NHL game and tying the Ottawa Senators all-time franchise mark for wins by a goaltender in the process. Backstopping his Ottawa Senators to a playoff run lasting up to Game 7 in the Eastern Conference Finals, Anderson is also one of the NHL’s finalists for the Bill Masterton Award given annually to the player who best exemplifies the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship, and dedication to hockey.
