Barrington is proud to announce that Delaney Calabrese has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for at St. Mary’s University of Minnesota next fall! The Cardinals compete in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC). Delaney plans to study marketing and will likely minor in business analytics and management. She also plays for the Team Illinois U19 team. Congrats Delaney!
Fenwick’s Alumni Game and Christmas Party. Over the holidays the Fenwick Girls team held its annual alumni game and Christmas party, bringing back several years of former skaters and goaltenders that played both under the Fenwick banner and the Oak Park River Forest flag. The girls had a blast battling former team mates, and the newly minted alumni loved played their former team. The current team beat the alumni 6-3. Three sets of sisters faced off in the game: Rachel and Sammy Azuma and Nikki and Kylie Gushurst both played for the alumni, while Frankie and Lena Flores faced off as goaltender sisters, Frankie for the alumni and Lena for the current team.
Happy New Year to all and good luck to all the teams in the second half of the season!
