2018 Illinois High School State Championships Set for March 24th!

The Amateur Hockey Association of Illinois (AHAI), announced today along with the Chicago Blackhawks the 2018 Illinois State High School Hockey Championships, presented by Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana Chevy Dealers, will be played at the United Center on Saturday, March 24, 2018.

The Boys State Championship tilt, which begins at 3 p.m. at the United Center, will be broadcast live on NBC Sports Chicago and streamed live on NBCSportsChicago.com/WatchLive and via the NBC Sports app. The event will feature a full day of action with the Illinois Girls’ State Championship (11:30 a.m.), the Boys’ Red Division State Championship (3 p.m.) and the Boys’ Combined Division State Championship (5:00 p.m.).

This marks the 31st year that AHAI will host their State Championship at the United Center/Chicago Stadium. The 2017 title was won by New Trier Green in the Red Division, Addison Trail/Fenton/Montini Catholic/Willowbrook High Schools in the Combined Division and Glenbrook South High School in the Girls’ Division.

Tickets for the event, which features three contests, will go on sale on Monday, January 29, at 10 a.m. The 2018 Illinois High School Hockey Championships will feature a set of Nick Schmaltz and Ryan Hartman Bobblehead Magnet giveaway to the first 10,000 fans, presented by Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana Chevy Dealers.
