Honoring our Seniors
Glenbrook High School
The Glenbrook Girls Hockey Team celebrated Senior Night at the Northbrook Ice Rink on February 11 when they faced off against Fenwick.
The team honored seven seniors: Captain Chloe Carroll, Madison Itagaki, Alternate Captain Hannah Jensen, Nicole Knudson, Eleni Tasiopoulos, Alternate Captain Katie Thomas, and Koby Wilcox. Chloe, Hannah, Nicole, Eleni, Katie and Koby played on the Glenbrook team all four years of high school. The Glenbrook team will miss them all, but know they will excel next year in college!
Lake Forest Scouts
The Lake Forest Scouts celebrated their seniors on February 19th when they faced off against Glenbrook.
Congratulations to graduating seniors and Captains Katie Wynn and Hannah Matthews! Hannah played with the Scouts all four years of high school and Katie was a member of the team for three. Both girls are still deciding on what school they will attend next year; Hannah is set to study film production. Katie will graduate from Stevenson High School and also plays for the Team Illinois U19 team, where she is also a Captain. Hannah will graduate from Highland Park High School this spring. Good luck ladies!
On Saturday, February 17, Loyola Academy players volunteered their day with a special equipment fitting event for the Little Blackhawks Learn to Play program. For many of these participants and their families, this was their first experience with hockey and the Blackhawks. Loyola Girls Varsity players Bryn Jones, Stephanie Smith, Kathleen Gorman, Isabella Talano and Loyola Gold player Christian Dunne helped make it a special day for these future players.
