Ask AHAI: AAA Girls Tryouts

By Mike Mullally, AHAI Director

QUESTION: What are the dates for AAA Girls?

ANSWER: The girls teams are formed at the Tier I tryouts in May of each year. The Tier I girls’ teams may sign players to player cards (playing and financial obligation) until June 15th.  From June 16th until September 15th the Tier I girls’ teams are restricted from adding any players. From September 1st to September 15th it is time for the Tier II teams to put players on their rosters. After September 15th, Tier 1 girls can again resume adding players to their teams. So, the Tier I teams get first crack, then the Tier II’s have an open field to the girls not already signed to Tier I teams.
