Junior defenseman Matt Barrett, in his second season skating for the Glenbrook South JV team, has put archrival Glenbrook North on alert.
When asked his personal goals for the season, Barrett said, “To score three goals in the rivalry game and put the team on my back.”
The traditional GBN-GBS Rivalry Game on the night before Thanksgiving, played in Glenview, is one of the most noteworthy games of the season — at both the JV and varsity level.
Barrett, 16, lives in Glenview and sports uniform No. 20 — the same number worn by both of his brothers, his cousin and his grandfather who played in the NHL.
