Action in the Metro Girls League is well underway with all the teams having quite a few games under their belts! No teams remain undefeated at this point in the season, but three teams (that have played at least 8 games) only have one loss: Loyola Academy, Barrington and Fenwick. New Trier Varsity sits atop the leaderboard with 20 points, followed by Loyola Academy with 17 points, and Barrington with 15 points. This is shaping up to be a highly competitive season!

Lake Forest Scouts Midwest Conference Food Drive
The Scouts pitched in to help the Lake Forest College women’s hockey team in their food drive as part of the bigger Midwest Conference effort to gather food for families in need. Donations were collected at the Lake Forest College rink. The Scouts appreciated that the District 211-214 Rebels and Maine also joined in the drive when they played the Scouts at Lake Forest College in mid-November.
The Scouts are very proud to announce that senior Kennedy Stein, who attends Lake Forest High School has committed to play NCAA D3 hockey with the Auggies next year. Kennedy will join the Augsburg University women’s hockey team in Minneapolis in the fall and her teammates are excited to cheer her on!
The Latin girls team had a fun “Halloween” themed practice the week before the holiday. Check out this fun photo of some pretty creative costumes. The goalie “taco” and skating nun are this author’s faves! Hard to believe the holiday season is here!
Fenwick alum Erin Proctor (class of 2019) and Fenwick and Robert Morris Head Coach Mason Strom re-connected recently over a Robert Morris versus the University of Michigan ACHA D1 game. The games were held at the Edge in Bensenville in November. Fun facing off in a new setting!
